10 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY SCHEME

The product price includes 5 years' warranty and 30 day money back guarantee.

However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers.

The highlights of this enhanced warranty service are:

  • Warranty is extended to 10 years from the date of delivery.
  • Our Money Back guarantee is extended from 30 days to 60 days (terms apply after 30 days)
  • Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty
  • Claim 50% cash back on the cost of the policy after 10 years if it has not been used!
  • Warranty is transferable if the item is re-sold
  • Loan or replacement equipment will be provided if the product isn't repaired within 30 days
  • If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered
  • The policy can be cancelled within 30 days, and at any time after that for a pro-rata discount

Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided.

For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.

This enhanced warranty is in addition to the standard Gear4music and manufacturer warranty policies, and the Gear4music terms and conditions of trade. No statement or condition of sale contained within these terms affects or restricts your statutory rights as defined under the Consumer Contracts Regulation 2014.

Gretsch Catalina EVO 4pc Kit, Black Sparkle Overview

View this description in German

The Gretsch Catalina EVO 4pc Kit, Black Sparkle is an electronic drum kit suited to practice, recording, and performance. Its full-size shell configuration gives you an acoustic-style setup, with three-ply True Rebound mesh heads on the toms and snare for a realistic playing feel. The 16-inch crash, 18-inch ride, and 14-inch hi-hat each provide three-zone triggering and a fully playable 360-degree surface, helping you play naturally around the kit.

At its centre, the Catalina EVO module includes more than 500 multi-layer sounds, 50 factory kits, and space for 128 user presets. You can also import your own WAV samples, record stereo WAV files directly to a USB flash drive, and connect over Bluetooth or USB for audio and MIDI. Plus, the Gretsch E-Drum Remote app gives you straightforward kit control and access to coaching features.

Full-size feel behind the kit

The Catalina EVO uses a 10-inch rack tom, 12-inch floor tom, 14-inch snare, and 18-inch bass drum, giving you proportions that feel familiar if you're used to an acoustic setup. Three-ply True Rebound mesh heads are fitted to the toms and snare, while two-zone head and rim triggering lets you make use of different playing areas. The bass drum uses two sensors for enhanced triggering, including when you're playing with double pedals. Together, these features give you an electronic setup designed around a natural playing experience — useful when you want practice and performance setups to feel consistent.

Detailed sounds with room to customise

More than 500 multi-layer sounds give you plenty of options when building a kit. The module's Gretsch recordings include round-robin and ambient samples, while 50 factory presets provide ready-made starting points. Once you've found the sounds that work for you, 128 user preset slots give you space to save your own setups. You can shape individual channels further using a pad compressor and three-band EQ, alongside four independent effects blocks covering ambient samples, instrument reverb, room reverb, and multi-effects. And if you want to add your own sounds, 128 user sample slots support WAV imports.

Cymbals respond around the entire surface

The included EVO cymbals are designed to let you play freely rather than aim for a narrow trigger area. The 16-inch crash, 18-inch ride, and 14-inch hi-hat each feature a 360-degree playable surface with three-zone bow, bell, and edge triggering. Choke functionality adds another familiar performance technique, while the durable playing surfaces are designed to keep noise down during electronic practice. The hi-hat setup also includes its controller and bottom cymbal, so you have the components needed for responsive hi-hat playing. It's a practical setup for bringing familiar cymbal techniques into an electronic kit.

Flexible connections for recording and playback

The Catalina EVO module gives you several ways to fit the kit into your wider setup. Bluetooth handles both audio and MIDI, while USB-C provides USB audio and MIDI connectivity. Its configurable USB audio interface offers eight outputs and four inputs, and four direct mono outputs sit alongside the main left and right connections for flexible routing. There are also 6.35mm and 3.5mm headphone sockets on the front panel, plus a mix input for external audio. For straightforward recording, you can capture stereo WAV files directly to a USB flash drive using the module's USB-A connection.
