Vocals, bass and drums, and even synths will become warmer, smoother, clearer and more powerful. The SA-2A is more suited to these types of instruments, as well as ones with smaller transients.

It's a sound that can't be replicated with plugins. Although there are many great digital emulations of analogue gear, something about the SA-2A just cannot be replicated. Its sound is smoother, creamy and warm.

You'll notice the difference even by just running things through the SA-2A without compressing. It's brilliant at giving you transparency, but can also be hit hard to give saturation.

Getting great sound is easy. You won't be fiddling with multiple knobs to get a good sound. You'll get a gain knob, peak reduction, gain reduction switch and a limit/compress flick switch.

Each unit features a Sowter input transformer and custom Cinemag output transformer that precisely match the ratios and frequency response of the original UTC transformers, as well as an increased level handling capacity.
