The M-Live Merish5+ is a premium MIDI player for live performance. A flagship offering in M-Live's range, the Merish5+ is great for karaoke performers, cover artists, solo acts, and full bands with elaborate live shows who rely on additional tracks. The Mersih5+ has a built-in memory of 512 GB and doubled speed when compared to the standard edition.
Designed with karaoke in mind, the Merish5+ makes it easy to store your backing tracks and edit them. M-Live's MTA audio format stores multiple layers of MP3 tracks inside a single file, letting you control and adjust which instruments are present and which aren't, so you get the space perform exactly what you want. Its in-built timbres also let you adjust your sounds, with over 500 sounds, 50 drum kits, and hundreds of other percussion sounds to turn your backing tracks into exactly what you want. The Merish5+'s editing capabilities don't end there, either, with the ability to write and synchronise both lyrics and chords to your backing tracks so you and/or the rest of your band can follow along. Its Prompter plug-in even allows you to wirelessly display the synced information to smartphones and tablets on-stage.
The Merish5+ doesn't work exclusively with MTA files, however. The included Audio PRO plug-in allows you to store and manage WAV, MP3, AAC, OGG, FLAC, AIF, AU files. A built-in digital mixer lets you blend mics, instruments, and backing tracks to achieve an ideal balance, with plenty of effects to add character to all of them. It can even be used as a recorder to capture your nights for rehearsal or release.

The Merish5 range utilises a unique file format called MTA, or Multitrack Audio. MTA files for a wide range of songs can be downloaded from M-Live's www.songservice.it under the Multitrack tab. Layering a series of MP3 files for each instrument in a backing track, which can be controlled independently. That means you can take out guitars, for example, and play them yourself instead, whilst keeping the rest of the backing track intact. Or whilst performing with a larger band, you can remove more instruments to make space for everyone playing with you. It also allows for a lot of editing potential, letting you write and synchronise lyrics and chords to stay visible on Merish5+'s display, or sent wirelessly to you and your bandmates' smartphones or tablets as you play. You can even change the tones, with over 500 different timbres available to swap out sounds you don't like for ones you do, as well as 50 different drum kits and hundreds of other percussion sounds to shape your accompaniment.
MIDI Controlled Playback
To make sure that your performance goes exactly the way you need it to, the Merish5+ can be controlled via a MIDI keyboard, making it easy to trigger video, MIDI files, and backing tracks exactly when you need to. In addition to M-Live's MTA format, the Merish5+ is also compatible with MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC, AIF, and AU audio files, so whatever you have available can be triggered at the perfect moment so your set never loses momentum.
Comprehensive Mixing and Recording
The Merish5+ also offers a 7-channel digital mixer with two microphone inputs, and two line inputs for vocals and instruments, and a playback channel for the backing tracks. It also provides a range of outputs for not just audio, but a dedicated click track output, as well as monitor and headphones. All rounded out by three-band EQ and multi-effects like reverb, delay, compression and noise gates, that can be applied to mic inputs and backing tracks alike. There's even a 4-voice vocal harmoniser to layer your vocals with. Plus, it's digital recording functionality captures your performances, so you can rehearse with your recordings, release your live shows, or make promotional material with them.
