The PHA-4 Standard keyboard gives you 88 full-size keys and a playing response designed around the feel of an acoustic piano. Hammer action provides familiar resistance beneath your fingers, while escapement recreates the subtle sensation felt as acoustic piano keys are pressed. An ivory-style key surface completes the tactile feel. There are five touch-sensitivity settings plus a fixed option, so you can adjust the response to suit your playing. And because the FP-30X covers the full 88-note range, you have the space to work on developing pieces and techniques without moving to a larger keyboard later.
Roland's SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine gives you detailed control over dynamics, helping softer and stronger playing come through naturally. The FP-30X also provides up to 256-note polyphony, giving sustained passages and layered playing plenty of room. String, damper, and key-off resonance add further detail to the piano response, while ambience and brilliance controls let you adjust its overall character. You're not limited to acoustic piano sounds either, with electric pianos, organs, strings, and synthesizer tones available when you want to explore different styles. Dual, Split, and Twin Piano functions provide extra ways to arrange the keyboard for practice and playing.
With two 12 cm speakers and 11 W per channel, the FP-30X has its own stereo sound system ready for everyday practice and playing. A dedicated desktop setting adjusts the sound when the piano is positioned on a table, making its compact 1300 mm x 284 mm footprint useful where space is limited. Need to keep things quiet? Two different headphone connections let you practise without using the speakers, and the keyboard action is designed with quiet playing in mind. At 14.8 kg, it's also manageable to move between rooms, store away, or take along to a small performance when needed.
Bluetooth gives you practical ways to bring other devices into your practice routine. Stream play-along tracks or online lessons through the FP-30X using Bluetooth audio, or use Bluetooth MIDI with compatible software such as Roland Piano App, Zenbeats, and GarageBand. The Roland Piano App can also support daily practice by letting you record and play back your sessions with your chosen piano tone. For computer-based setups, the USB Type-B connection supports both audio and MIDI, so you can connect the piano directly to compatible music production software for recording. USB memory support and dedicated stereo outputs add further flexibility as your setup grows.
