Everything about the ANB205 bass guitar screams playability and versatility. Designed with professional bassist Adam Nitti’s specifications in mind, it successfully attempts to capture his unique sound and playing style. The Maple on Maple neck/fretboard combination gives the bass a snappy and responsive attack. Allowing you to play the bass and unison runs common in genres like Jazz and Funk. The Swamp Ash body is not only tough but its heft allows for lengthy and rich sustains. Brilliant for soloing.
Not only do you get a beautifully crafted bass guitar you also get top of the range electronics. The Bartolini 59CBJD pick ups provide the bass guitar with a tight, aggressive attack. Prominent trebles add to the bite of the Maple neck.
The ANB205 features Bartolini 59CBJD pick ups. These are designed to accentuate the high end frequencies to give your playing more bite. The ‘Classic’ pick up design is passive and features a very wide frequency range. Producing a lot of vibrancy and air. Whilst the pick ups excel at bite and attack but not at the cost of the low end. Due to the resonance of the pick ups, the mids and lows still have significant punch. Your bass tone, across the spectrum, will be tonally rich. Play with versatility - stylistically malleable, the ANB205 is suited to any genre.
Complementing the pick ups is the Bartolini NTMB + F modified EQ. This gives you a lot of control over the tonal output of the Adam Nitti’s Signature bass design. The sound created by the pick ups is incredibly clear and the 3-way EQ allows for selections of 250Hz, 500Hz, and 800Hz give you a lot of variety over the sonic palate.
Rising in popularity across the bass playing world is the finger ramp. A lot of bass players feel most comfortable playing finger style just above the pick ups. This decreases the tonal variety obtained by playing around the picking area. Finger ramps allow you to play all over the picking area but with the same comfort as just above the pick ups. For more professional control over your playing, opt for a finger ramp.
The Ibanez story is an intriguing one. The first historical mentions of Ibanez guitars come from the 1930s, when the instrument sales division of a Japanese bookstore chain began manufacturing Spanish acoustic guitars. Their strange start to life was a sign of things to come: Ibanez regularly got into legal trouble in the mid-20th century for copying the designs of Western guitar manufacturers.
After a particularly costly lawsuit in the 1970s, Ibanez abandoned their strategy of using other established models as the basis for their own instruments. Instead, they began crafting their own, unique guitars in the hope of establishing themselves in the guitar-making world. This was a move that paid off massively - the individual style and sound of Ibanez's instruments set them apart from everything else available on the market, and the company quickly became a gigantic success story.
In the intervening years, a wide selection of some of the music industry's biggest and best artists have used Ibanez instruments in their music. Their bass guitars have gained particularly legendary status for their unique, wide-reaching sound. They've been used in the music of many well-known artists from a plethora of genres, ranging from U2 to Slipknot, Earth, Wind, & Fire to Carrie Underwood, and Al Green to Snoop Dogg. That's why you can be certain that the ANB205 is an instrument good enough for the very best.
