Equipped with a pair of DiMarzio Sonic Ecstasy Humbuckers in bridge and neck positions, these innovative electronics assist with creating and replicating the immaculate sounds of Petrucci's own guitar playing. The active preamp system with the DiMarzio humbuckers offers control over a 20dB gain boost, and many other sonic possibilities. The controls include a volume control for a huge output jump for that extra projection; and a tone control for creating your dream tones.

Ebony Fingerboard Paired With Mahogany Neck

The Majesty Monarchy is manufactured with a ebony fingerboard, which offers smoother and faster playing, allowing you to navigate the frets as fast as Petrucci himself. Ebony produces a very responsive, bright and snappy attack which works well paired with a mahogany neck and body. The sturdy mahogany neck gives the guitar a rich, focused sound and the body likewise produces thick, warm tones. The neck-through construction offers a more comfortable playing experience with easier access to the higher frets as well as providing greater sustain. Neck-through guitars are often sturdier than other guitars due to excellent stability and they also allow your instrument to stay in tune longer.

About John Petrucci

John Petrucci is best known as the guitarist, producer, lyricist and founding member of the successful progressive metal band Dream Theater as well as the guitarist and founding member of Liquid Tension Experiment. More recently, John has been involved in the research and development of numerous signature guitars with Music Man, including this Royal Red Majesty Monarchy. Petrucci himself is a long-time user of Music Man which makes this custom electric guitar perfect for ultimate rock royalty.
