The Les Paul traditional has an '80s and early '90s-inspired design and provides the fat, sweet, snarling Les Paul tone and Gibson playability. But now, Gibson USA gives this guitar an all-mahogany purity of that has featured on the Les Paul Custom and Special models of the 1950s. The traditional Les Paul Standard features are still there and the guitar boasts a fast '60s-style neck with genuine rosewood fingerboard, along with traditional '80s-era appointments and construction. This left-handed version comes in a nice Vintage Sunburst finish.

All-Mahogany Body and Quality Construction

This Les Paul has an all-mahogany body; its mahogany back is weight relieved with nine strategically placed holes which also enhance the guitar's resonance. It's capped with a carved two-piece mahogany top, just like the legendary Les Paul Custom introduced in 1954. The mahogany neck is made from quarter-sawn timber for superior strength and resonance, and topped with a Grade-A bi-layer rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and cream binding. Its slim '60s profile measures .800" deep at the 1st fret and .875" at the 12th and ensures unparalleled speed and playability, with a 12" fingerboard radius for choke-free bending. The preferred 17-degree headstock pitch improves string pressure in the slots of the PLEK-cut Corian nut for optimum resonance and sustain. It has a Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, which ensure a solid anchor and optimum sustain.

Classic Appointments

It has vintage-look TonePros™ tuners with pearloid buttons. Other classic appointments include a mother-of-pearl Gibson headstock logo and silkscreened gold "Les Paul Model", cream binding and pickguard, and gold Top-Hat knobs with silver inserts.

'57 Classic (Neck) and '57 Classic Plus (Bridge)

This guitar is equipped with two of Gibson USA's most popular humbucking pickups. Expect sweet, warm vocal tones out of the '57 Classic in the neck position, and gutsy crunch and soaring lead tones from the slightly hotter '57 Classic Plus in the bridge. These acclaimed pickups are made with genuine Alnico II magnets and wound with 42 AWG wire, just like the legendary PAFs of the late '50s and early '60s. Like the "traditional" styling, they are installed with chromed covers.

Hardshell Case Included

This guitar comes protected in a plush-lined hardshell case with black exterior and includes owner's manual.
