The James Hetfield Snakebyte Guitar is loaded with an EMG JH 'HET' Set, including a JH-N at the neck and a JH-B at the bridge. Hetfield was hunting for 'stealth' looking pickups, that were powerful and retained the iconic active tone. The JH 'HET' Set was therefore designed to provide excellent clarity and dynamics, and is packed with plenty of punch. The JH neck pickup offers fierce attack and high output, whilst the JH bridge pickup provides a tight and clear, low end bite.

Unique Snakebyte Body

The ESP Snakebyte Guitar features sharp yet comfortable angles, allowing access to the higher frets, while also screaming 'heavy metal' at first glance. This guitar is instantly recognisable as a brainchild of Metallica's James Hetfield, making it ideal for fans and metal guitarists alike. The Snakebyte's body is made from mahogany, which provides extremely rich and resonant tones, with plenty of sonic warmth.

Mahogany Neck Paired With Ebony Fingerboard

The ESP Snakebyte Guitar's neck is made from mahogany, which is sturdy and durable. The mahogany neck offers a rich tonality for fat guitar tones. The ebony fingerboard brings added sustain and snappy attack, which complements the mahogany's deeper tone.

Premium Hardware

The ESP James Hetfield Snakebyte features an innovative TonePros Locking Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Tail piece system which eliminates a problem which some guitarists may have encountered. The lack of stability when the strings are removed, sometimes causes the bridge/tailpiece to fall off and minor, meaning that unwanted adjustments to the bridge height need to be made. The TonePros Locking Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Tailpiece make that a thing of the past; with high tension springs fitted into the attachments, the bridge now clips and locks into place without the use of tools and also increases sustain by up to 20 . This Snakebyte Electric Guitar also features Sperzel Locking Tuners that are designed to provide players with excellent tuning stability and reliability.
