Based on and inspired by the S2 Standard, this Studio model takes the same classic mahogany body, and iconic S2 feel, but injects it with a more distinctive, even more interesting pickup configuration. With a time-tested HSS pickup configuration, you can achieve a punchy single coil tone, to a scooped vintage character, to the powerful chunk of a bridge humbucker. Plus, with plenty of sonic flavour to play around with. It would be a crime not to give you the opportunity to switch up your tone even further. So, PRS fitted a 5-way pickup switch with independent volume and tone controls. Giving you the chance to dial in your tone, just the way you like it. Explore the iconic punch of single coil pickups to instantly recognisable scooped vintage tones. And, with a Starla humbucker, you've got a meaty, powerful tone with plenty attitude. With seven combinations, you and the S2 Studio can play all those classic tones, and much more. And it still grasps onto its unique PRS roots.
