Stunning AAA Flamed Maple Top

The Gibson Les Paul Standard Guitar is manufactured with a mahogany body, along with an AAA flamed maple top. The use of maple provides a stylish tiger stripe effect, which is beautifully recognisable throughout the stunning finish and unique to every guitar. The Les Paul is also trimmed in a vibrant cream binding along the edge, which breaks up the solid block colour and adds an essence of elegance to the design.

Ultra Modern Weight Relief

The Gibson Les Paul Standard features an ultra-modern weight relief chambered body for extra comfort and an enhanced resonance. This weight-relief process involves routing nine round holes in the mahogany body before the stunning maple top is attached. These holes are strategically placed in the lower bouts on the bass-side of the guitar, offering you a comfortably lightweight guitar that can be played all night long.

Asymmetrical Slim Taper Neck Profile

This Asymmetrical design provides one of the most comfortable and playable necks ever offered on any guitar. This ergonomically-correct profile is tapered and designed to be thicker on the bass side, and thinner on the treble side. This design closely outlines the natural form of the hand as it grips the neck, offering an incredibly smooth and comfortable performance. Overall, this neck profile offers comfort and allows for flexible hand movement along the whole neck. The addition of a rosewood fingerboard helps enhance the natural characteristics of the body, adding extra sparkle to the high end and opening up the midrange.

BurstBucker Pro Pickups

The Standard Les Paul Guitar features a set of powerful BurstBucker Pro pickups, designed to recapture the magic of the original ‘’Patent Applied For’’ humbuckers of the 1950s. These pickups are constructed with alnico V magnets to provide a high output which allows preamps to be driven hard, delivering a beautiful natural break-up for a stunning, organic tone. The BurstBucker Pro’s feature asymmetrical coils, which are true to the original PAFs, supplying a more open sound than standard coils. The Pro Rhythm humbucker is wound slightly less than the original PAFs, while the Pro Lead humbucker is slightly overwound for an increase in output. Its independent volume and tone controls feature push-pull functions to expand the guitar's tonal capabilities, creating an incredibly versatile guitar suitable for any playing style.

Aluminium Tune-O-Matic Bridge

The Tune-O-Matic bridge offers stability, reliability, a comfortable playing position, and impressive sustain. Adjusting the string action and intonation is extremely simple with a tune-o-matic bridge, as you simply adjust its height with the mounting rods to alter the action, and screw the bridge saddles in or out to achieve perfect intonation. The separate "stop bar" tailpiece is designed to further enhance the connection between the strings and the body, offering greater vibration transfer for an enhanced resonance.

TekToid Nut

The addition of a TekToid graphite nut offers increased harmonics in the middle and upper frequency range, perfect for creating a rich and detailed tone. TekToid Graphite is the best high-tech cure for eliminating undesirable friction within the nut, which can cause tuning problems. It is the ideal choice for a guitar nut, as it has excellent conductive qualities which overall benefit a guitar’s tone and sustain.
