Key Features
Product Ref: 94604
The Make Noise modDemix Module combines dual individual direct-coupled balanced modulator circuits, which can be used independently or together to achieve different results. The specialised balanced modulator circuit, will turn itself off at around zero volts at the Carrier/Control input, making the module act as a VCA. It’s versatile design also means it can be used for a number of effects and applications. When using different configurations, you can utilise Ring Modulation, VCA, Signal Multiplication, Voltage Controlled Polarisation, Attenuator, Mixing and a whole host more.
The in-depth modulation controls, allow you to get the most out of your circuits. One of the most prominent controls is the Strength knob. This combination knob, acts as a standard panel control when nothing is patched to the Strength CV In. When a signal is patched to the CV Input, it acts as an attenuator, allowing you to set the strength of the modulation for optimal control. The two circuits can feed a summing stage, allowing you to use the modDemix as a voltage controlled mixer. You can also add warm distortions to your audio signals, with a highly unique tone.
The highly compact design takes up only 6HP of space within a modular rack. Its ergonomic layout is based on a circuit-board design, with all connections and controls clearly annotated for quick and easy access. There are 8 patch points in total for optimal flexibility when it comes to modulation. It also features 8 LEDs that indicate when certain connected are in use and how they are reacting. Additionally, the modDemix pairs well with both the Make Noise Maths and Optomix Eurorack modules.
